The King of Pride Rock roars over the sunny south this spring as the long-running Disney and Broadway hit ‘The Lion King’ hits the Bob Carr Performing Arts Centre in Orlando, FL for a month-long spring run, from February 14 through March 11, 2018.

From the silver screen to onstage, ‘The Lion King’ never ceases to be a majestic masterpiece, from its epic and heart stopping production numbers, to its breathtaking and scenic set designs, costumes and lifelike characters that will transport you from the boxed confines of the theatre house to the vast and grand African safari, each character and object popping into view as if you we’re really there, taking part in every action, every dramatic sequence, and every song and dance performance.

The New York Times hails this musical adaptation as “simply nothing else like it”, while Newsweek goes further by calling ‘The Lion King’ “a landmark event in entertainment”. Indeed it is, this musical is a theatrical phenomenon that is the complete mix of visual spectacle packed with emotionally charged and fulfilling repertoire and scores, and a heartwarming story that celebrates life, diversity, harmony, togetherness and love.

This is ‘The Lion King’, helmed by Tony Award winner Julie Taymor and brought to life by an ensemble of 40 talented actors. The performance running time is 2 hours and 45 minutes with 1 intermission.
