Ralphie Parker is spending Christmas in Denver! A Christmas Story, the hit and Tony nominated holiday musical that has been delighting young and old alike since its 2012 Broadway premiere, is all set to make this year’s Denver holidays extra special. Opening on December 16, 2015, A Christmas Story takes center stage at the Buell Theatre until December 27, 2015.
There is only one thing that will make little Ralphie Parker’s Christmas perfect – an air gun or, specifically, a Red Ryder Carbine Action 200-Shot Range Model Air Rifle. Even with his parents not that enthusiastic about the idea, Ralphie is quite determined to get what he wants. With a few tricks up his sleeves, Ralphie faces the obstacles in order to make his Christmas wish come true. Adapted for the stage from the well-loved 1983 film of the same name, A Christmas Story features witty songs by Justin Paul and Benj Pasek and brilliant direction by Matt Lenz.
Have a whimsical holiday season as A Christmas Story opens at the Buell Theatre on December 16 (Wednesday) at 7:30 PM. The regular evening performances are at 7:30 PM from Tuesdays through Sundays while the weekend matinees are at 2 PM on Saturdays and Sundays. The performance time of A Christmas Story is 2 hours and 30 minutes with one intermission.
