A zany adventure with two missionaries is set cap the blockbuster 2016-2017 season of Broadway Across Canada-Calgary! The Book of Mormon, the top grossing and wildly popular Broadway show that took home Tony Awards’ Best Musical trophy, takes over the Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium from September 6 to 11, 2016.
In a far-flung village in the northern region of Uganda, two novice Mormon missionaries set off to evangelize and to convert the local natives who are more anxious about hunger, violence, and poverty than the salvation of their souls. With only one of them knowing the Mormon teachings, the young missionaries plod on from one hilariously outrageous adventure to another.
