Book of Mormon Rochester | Auditorium Theatre

‘The Book of Mormon’ swings by Rochester, NY in spring 2013 for a week-long run from March 5th to the 10th at the Auditorium Theatre.

A quality, award winning and critically acclaimed musical best known and beloved for its satiric take on religious fundamentalism, ‘The Book of Mormon’ has caught not the ire but the applause of both critics and fans with its smooth and sensible utilization of parody in bringing to light a funny story about the misadventures of two Mormon boys who were sent out to Uganda for a mission. With the differences in ideologies, religion and customs, the Mormon elders’ visit to the local African community will prove to be a riot underscored by high caliber music penned by Tony winner Robert Lopez of ‘Avenue Q’ fame, and coupled with the kind of daring and cheeky comedy that ‘South Park’ creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone have injected into this Tony winning production.

Show times for ‘The Book of Mormon’ in Rochester are at 7:30 PM from March 5th to 7th, 8 PM on the 8th and 9th, and 6:30 PM on the 10th. Matinee performances are at 2 PM on the 9th and 1 PM on the 10th. The performance running time is 2 hours and 30 minutes with 1 intermission.
