Bridges of Madison County Minneapolis | Orpheum Theatre

One of the most romantic and most poignant love stories ever written will come alive on Minneapolis stage this summer! The Bridges of Orpheum Theatre, the two-time Tony winning musical from the Great White Way, joins the blockbuster line up of shows for the 2015-2016 Bank of America Broadway on Hennepin season. Opening on June 21, 2016, Bridges of Madison County plays the Orpheum Theatre until June 26, 2016.

Based on Robert James Waller’s popular and bestselling novel, Bridges of Madison County is the heart-wrenching story of Francesca Johnson and Robert Kincaid – an Iowa housewife and a photojournalist whose chance encounter and subsequent whirlwind romance made the biggest mark in their lives. Theirs is an unforgettable tale of two people who have to choose between desire and duty. Directed by Bartlett Sher, Bridges of Madison County features book by Marsha Norman and soulful score by Jason Robert Brown.

Feel the longing and experience the intoxicating blend of classic Broadway’s expressive balladry and Americana folk’s rich textures as Bridges of Madison County takes center stage at the Orpheum Theatre. The performances are at 7:30 PM from June 21 to 23 (Tuesday to Thursday), at 8 PM on June 24 (Friday), at 2 PM and 8 PM on June 25 (Saturday), and at 1 PM and 6:30 PM on June 26 (Sunday). Bridges of Madison County runs for 2 hours and 35 minutes.
