Velma, Roxie, and Billy Flynn are expected to arrive in Fort Lauderdale this fall! Chicago, the razzle-dazzle hit musical from Broadway, opens on October 9, 2013 at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts and runs until October 20, 2013. Chicago is part of the stellar 2013-2014 season of Bank America Broadway Across America- Ft. Lauderdale.
In the 1920s, when jazz hot was the rage, rival vaudevillian murderesses Velma and Roxie are incarcerated in the Cook County Jail. They separately seek the services of a slick lawyer named Billy Flynn to create media frenzy to prepare the world for their splashy showbiz comebacks. Chicago sizzles on stage with its electrifying choreography, memorable score, and spectacularly show-stopping numbers.
Don’t miss the spellbinding Chicago shows at the Broward Center every night at 8 PM from Tuesday through Saturday and at 6:30 PM every Sunday. There are also matinee performances at 2 PM on October 10 and on Saturdays and at 1 PM on Sundays.
