Dirty Dancing Tampa | Straz Center

It’s time to dance like never before! Dirty Dancing, the record-breaking and sensational musical production inspired by the smash hit 1987 film, joins the stellar line up of The Straz Center for the Performing Arts’ 2014-2015 Broadway Series. Opening on December 2, 2014, Dirty Dancing will set the Carol Monsani Hall on fire until December 7.

From its phenomenal world premiere in Australia in 2004, Dirty Dancing has been captivating theatre goers and breaking box office records along the way. Now on its much-anticipated US Tour, Dirty Dancing tells the unforgettable love story of dance instructor Johnny Castle and socialite Baby Houseman, which unfolds on the summer of 1963 in a resort in New York’s Catskill Mountains. Dirty Dancing is inspired by the iconic 80s hit film that starred Patrick Swayze.

Feel the love and experience the passion as the Dirty Dancing fever hits Tampa this fall! Join the dance party as Dirty Dancing takes over the Carol Monsani Hall at 7:30 PM on December 2 to 4 (Tuesday to Thursday), at 8 PM on December 5 (Friday), at 2 PM and 8 PM on December 6 (Saturday), and at 2 PM and 7:30 PM on December 7 (Sunday).
