Faulkenberry, Sajous Join Broadway’s Spiderman Cast in November

The cast of “Spiderman: Turn off the Dark” is swapping out a couple of actresses in mid-November. Jennifer Damiano, who plays Mary Jane and T.V. Carpio who plays Arachne are leaving the production. The replacements who will take over are Rebecca Faulkenberry and Christina Sajous.

Rebecca Faulkenberry last starred in the Broadway production of “Rock of Ages.” Rebecca has also starred in London’s West Side productions of “High School Musical” and “Aunt Dan and Lemon.” The 26 year old Bermuda born actress should do well as Mary Jane in the “Spiderman” musical. Jennifer Damiano had held the role of Mary Jane since November 2011. She had previously starred in Broadway in “Spring Awakening” and “Next to Normal.”

Christina Sajous joins the cast of “Spiderman” after starring in Broadway productions of “Baby, It’s You!” and “American Idiot.” She replaces T.V. Carpio who gained the role of Arachne due to injuries and being the under study. She made the best of being an understudy and was able to star. Carpio has made numerous television and film roles, most noticeably Prudence in the film “Across the Universe.”

The changes should add a bit more experience to the cast of “Spiderman: Turn off the Dark” as Rebecca is six years older than Jennifer. Also Christina has more Broadway experience than T.V. just comparing credits.
