Hear Simba’s roar echo again from the ASU Gammage Auditorium this fall! The Lion King, the phenomenal and spirited Broadway musical adapted from Disney’s award-winning 1994 animated film, will run in Tempe from October 22 to November 17, 2013 as a Season Special of the Progressive Broadway Across America-Arizona’s thrilling 2013/14 series.
Set in the flourishing Pridelands of Africa, The Lion King tells the extraordinary tale of Simba as he redeems himself, fulfilling his responsibility and destiny – to be his pride’s king. Brimming with memorable songs, primal African rhythms, stunning sets, and amazing costumes, The Lion King is a powerfully electrifying spectacle that will surely captivate its Tempe audience this fall.
Feel the rhythms of Africa and experience the phenomenon that is The Lion King as it plays the Gammage Auditorium at 7:30 PM from Tuesdays through Saturdays and at 6:30 PM on Sunday evenings, with matinee performances on weekends at 2 PM every Saturday and at 1 PM every Sunday.
