The beautiful Ariel surfaces from the deep blue sea this summer to dazzle Pittsburgh with her presence. The Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera’s production of Disney’s Little Mermaid, the undersea spectacular from Broadway, runs at the Benedum Center on July 9 to 21, 2013 as part its 2013 Summer Season.
In a beautiful kingdom deep under the sea, a mermaid princess named Ariel is fascinated with the world above. She longs to live on land and experience the life that people lead. Based on the beloved Disney movie and the classic tale from Hans Christian Andersen, this stage adaptation of Little Mermaid features spellbinding sets, magnificent costumes, and delightful songs. Little Mermaid‘s beautiful and unforgettable love story will surely win the hearts of its Pittsburg audience.
Disney’s Little Mermaid plays the Benedum Center nightly at 8 PM from Tuesdays through Saturdays and at 7 PM on Sundays (except on July 21). The regular matinee shows are at 2 Pm on weekends, with a special matinee performance on July 18 (Thursday) at 1 PM.
