‘Love, Loss and What I Wore’ Cast Reloads with Sierra Boggess, Quincy Tyler Bernstine

The cast of the long-running off-Broadway show “Love, Loss, and What I Wore” will receive a shake-up for both February and March, producers announced recently.

Quincy Tyler Bernstine, known for her work in “Ruined,” will join the cast February 1-26, along with Alexandra Silber (“The Little Mermaid”) and Zuzanna Szadkowski (“Gossip Girl”). The three actors will round out the cast with the already announced Robin Strasser (“One Life to Live”) and Dawn Wells (“Gilligan’s Island”).

The cast will be revamped again in March when Sierra Boggess, perhaps best known as her role as Ariel in the 2007 Broadway production of “The Little Mermaid,” and Ally Walker join the cast. Walker currently stars on the FX series “Sons of Anarchy.” Erica Watson (“Precious”), who was featured in a Chicago production of the play late last year, also will join the March cast from February 29 to April 1.

“Love, Loss, and What I Wore” is presented as a series of monologues by five women concerning their relationships and wardrobes. After a summer series in East Hampton, N.Y. in 2008, the production opened in its current location at the Westside Theatre in New York in 2009. The show currently is the second-longest running show at that theater and won the 2010 Drama Desk Award for Unique Theatrical Experience. Rosie O’Donnell and Tyne Daly were nominated for Drama Desk awards the same year for their roles in the play. Additionally, it has been produced around the world, including a national U.S. tour that began in September of last year.

The play is co-written by sisters Nora and Delia Ephron, each an author and screenwriter. Nora Ephron has been nominated for three Academy Awards, and is best known for writing or co-writing “Sleepless in Seattle,” “When Harry Met Sally” and “Silkwood.” Delia Ephron is known for her screenwriting work on “You’ve Got Mail,” “Bewitched” and “Hanging Up,” which based on her novel of the same name.
