‘Newsies,’ ‘Kinky Boots,’ ‘Phantom’ Highlight Charlotte’s 2014-15 Broadway Season

The Blumenthal Performing Arts Center has announced the 2014-2015  Broadway Lights Season line-up. Musicals such as Newsies, Kinky Boots, and Phantom of the Opera are included among the shows that are a part of this grand affair in Charlotte.

This year Blumenthal is putting tickets on sale earlier than before so that buyers can avoid a sales tax that goes into effect this year on entertainment tickets. Its First On Board ticket sale runs through January 31 and offers buyers several incentives including: the right to swap two shows for anything on the 2014-15 schedule, free parking for all seven shows at Belk Theater, and a $50 restaurant voucher.

Season tickets range in price from $192 to $764 for the seven-show package. Those wanting to add A Night With Janis Joplin (the only show at Knight Theatre) can expect package prices ranging from $218 to $869.50. An installment plan is available to those interested.

Newsies – January 6-11, 2015 at Belk Theater

Kinky Boots – March 17-22, 2015 at Belk Theater

Pippin – May 19-24, 2015 at Belk Theater

Dirty Dancing – June 16-21, 2015 at Belk Theater

Motown: The Musical – August 25-September 6, 2015 at Belk Theater
