With its enigmatic Leading Player at the lead, a mysterious performing troupe is on its way to Chicago. Pippin, the new staging of a well-loved Stephen Schwartz classic and Tony winner for Best Revival in 2013, is part of the 2014-2015 Broadway in Chicago series. Opening on July 28, 2015, Pippin converts the Cadillac Palace Theatre into a big top during its two-week run n Chicago until August 9, 2015.
Pippin, Broadway’s death defying and high flying smash hit musical, comes back on theater stage after four long decades. Retelling the unforgettably captivating story of a young prince on a quest for meaning, Pippin brims with astounding magical feats, extraordinary acrobatics choreography, and marvellous songs like “No Time at all,” “Love Song,” “Magic to Do,” “Morning Glow,” “Glory,” and “Corner of the Sky.” With direction by Tony winner Diane Paulus, Pippin also features book by Roger Hirson and score by Stephen Schwartz.
Behold the jaw-dropping and eye-popping musical extravaganza as Pippin takes the spotlight at the Cadillac Palace Theater from July 28 to August 9, with evening shows on weeknights and matinee and evening performances on weekends. The run time of Pippin is 2 hours and 35 minutes with one intermission.
