Seminar Los Angeles | Ahmanson Theater

Seminar Los Angeles | Ahmanson Theater

This season’s “funniest show on Broadway” (WOR Radio) will hold its month-long West Coast premiere this fall. This is the highly raved Theresa Rebeck comedy ‘Seminar’, to play the Ahmanson Theater in Los Angeles from October 10 to November 18, 2012, starring multi-awarded and versatile actor Jeff Goldblum in one of his finest theatrical performances yet.

Direct from its successful world and Broadway premiere, ‘Seminar’ takes with it its entire Broadway cast, crew and creative team led by its Obie Award-winning director Sam Gold, its Peabody Award-winning and Pulitzer Prize finalist playwright Theresa Rebeck and seasoned lead actor Jeff Goldblum, who plays the role of an equally seasoned, accomplished and eccentric writer helming an exclusive seminar for his four young protégés. However, this rather intimate workshop gives rise to colorful and somewhat sordid affairs between the master and his students, tumultuous dynamics playing on the former’s experience and the latter’s innocence, forging friendships while at the same time, fueling conflicts. ‘Seminar’ is a provocative and refreshing comedy that reminds audiences that to create a mess, you only need five artistic minds or less.

‘Seminar’ will play the Ahmanson Theater at 8 PM from Tuesdays to Saturdays and 6:30 PM on Sundays. Matinee performances are at 2 PM on Saturdays and 1 PM on Sundays.
