The sound of beautiful music will fill the Fox Theatre this March! Sound of Music, the brand new musical production of one of the most beloved stories ever told, is part of Fifth Third Bank Broadway in Atlanta’s stellar 2015-2016 season. Opening on March 1, 2016, Sound of Music has a limited eight-performance engagement at the Fox Theatre until March 6, 2016.

Sound of Music, the critically-acclaimed musical with equally acclaimed and popular film version that is now celebrating its 50th year anniversary, is inspired by Maria Augusta Trapp’s memoir, “The Trapp Family Singers.” In this new production of the beloved classic, the Atlanta theatregoers will be once again thrilled by the spirited and unforgettable story of Maria and the whole Von Trapp family. Be captivated once again by its acclaimed score by Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein that has won in the Grammy, Tony, and Academy Awards, which includes timeless songs like “Edelweiss,” “My Favorite Things,” and “Climb Ev’ry Mountain.” With book by Russel Crouse and Howard Lindsay, Sound of Music is directed by acclaimed director Jack O’Brien.

Relive the magic and the beauty of Sound of Music as it plays the Fox Theatre at 7:30 PM on March 1 to 3 (Tuesday to Thursday), at 8 PM on March 4 (Friday), at 2 PM and 8 PM on March 5 (Saturday), and at 1 PM and 6:30 PM on March 6 (Sunday). Sound of Music runs for 174 minutes.
