Steel Magnolias Atlanta | Alliance Theatre

The Alliance Stage Series proudly presents Steel Magnolias, Robert Harling’s celebrated 1987 play that inspired Herbert Ross’ well-loved 1989 Hollywood comedy-drama film of the same name, in its three-week engagement at the Alliance Theatre. Opening on October 22, 2014, Steel Magnolias will be at the Alliance Stage until November 9, 2014.

Telling the quintessential tale of friendship, family, and sisterhood, Steel Magnolias is the celebrated and beloved Southern classic set in a small Louisiana parish and follows the story of Shelby and a group of beautiful and strong women – delicate and beautiful as magnolias yet as tough as steel – who usually gather at Trudy’s Beauty Parlor. This inspiring production of Steel Magnolias is directed by Tony nominee Judith Ivey.

Celebrate life and sisterhood as Steel Magnolias plays the Alliance Stage from Tuesday to Sunday evenings on October 22 to November 9. The matinee performances are scheduled for Saturdays and Sundays.
