The Lion King Austin | Bass Concert Hall

The Lion King Austin | Bass Concert Hall

Experience Broadway’s The Lion King at the Texas Performing Arts Bass Concert Hall as it comes to life from January 16 to February 10, 2013.

The Lion King has been called a Broadway spectacle that has transformed theatre forever. Indeed, the stagecraft, costumes, and puppetry designed by Tony award-winning director Julie Taymor captures the spirit and heart of the African savannah and the wild animals that each actor portrays on the stage. The story of Simba, the young Lion who is the rightful king of the Pride Lands is based on the animated Disney movie. In this stage musical adaptation, join him and his friends, the always entertaining Timon and Puumba, as they fight Scar to reclaim his birthright.

Some performances of The Lion King at the Bass Concert Hall in Austin, Texas will be on Thursdays and Fridays at 8:00pm with matinees at 2:00pm on Saturdays. Other show times will be announced shortly. The Lion King will run from January 16 to February 10, 2013. The performance running time is 2 hours and 45 minutes with 1 intermission.
