Wicked Costa Mesa | Segerstrom Hall

Wicked Costa Mesa | Segerstrom Hall

The Sergerstrom Center for the Arts presents Wicked: The Untold Story of the Witches of Oz as the US Tour passes through Costa Mesa only at the Segerstrom Hall from February 17 to March 6, 2016. Don’t miss your chance to find out the story behind what really happened before that tornado made Dorothy’s house land in Munchkinland.

They could be nothing more alike. One is perky, cute, rich, ambitious, and popular. The other is unusual, peculiar, tragic, and… green! These are the young girls who turn from rivals at their first day at Chiz University into best friends. Elphaba and Glinda get caught up in events beyond their control that turn them into the most powerful witches in Oz.

Evening performances of Wicked begin at 7:30pm except on Sundays when the shows will start at 6:30pm. The performance running time is 2 hours and 45 minutes with 1 intermission.

“Don’t expect Wicked to show up at any of our Civic Light Operas or Music Theaters anytime soon…if ever. Neither National Tour (or the Broadway production for that matter) shows any signs of slowing or shutting down in the near or distant future, and frankly, I can’t imagine a regional theater attempting to replicate what Wicked does so amazingly, from monkeys flying sky-high to witches arriving in bubbles or taking off on broomsticks.” – Steven Stanley of StageSceneLA
