Wicked Kalamazoo | Miller Auditorium

Wicked Kalamazoo | Miller Auditorium

Take a trip down the yellow brick road when the Miller Auditorium in Kalamazoo transforms into the land of Oz as you’ve never seen it before. Wicked, the Untold Story of the Witches of Oz is the Broadway hit musical based on the story by Gregory Maguire, set in the land of Oz created by Frank L. Baum in his beloved children’s series. See this block bustuer musical from April 24 to May 5, 2013.

Before Dorothy, a little girl from Kansas, and her little dog landed in Oz, two young rivals became unlikely best friends at the prestigious Shiz University. Galinda of the North had the world in her pocket. She was beautiful, popular, blonde, and ambitious. Elphaba was the daughter of the governor of Munchkin Land whose sole duty was to care for her invalid sister. She also had the unfortunate condition of being completely emerald green! Wicked is the story of how they came to be known as Glinda the Good and The Wicked Witch of the West.

Catch Wicked as is blows into town from April 24 to May 2, 2013 at the Frank W. Miller Auditorium. Evening and matinee performance schedules will be announced shortly. The performance running time is 2 hours and 45 minutes with 1 intermission.

“Wicked” is an onslaught of modern Broadway spectacle, one that lasts nearly three hours if one includes intermission. Within all the eye-candy, the story, the leading-ladies performances, etc., there is enough of something-for-everybody to cause a standing ovation, which is what the show got Thursday night.” – Mark Wedel of Michigan Live
