‘Wicked’, Broadway’s most compelling and most fascinating theatrical adaptation returns to St. Louis for the fifth time with a three-week run at the Fabulous Fox Theatre from December 9, 2015 to January 3, 2016.
For a long time, the Wicked Witch of the West has been depicted as the villain of Munchkinland, a menace who gained notoriety after facing off with Dorothy in L. Frank Baum’s ‘Wizard of Oz’. ‘Wicked’ will remind us that there are always two sides to every story, and this blockbuster musical – “a cultural phenomenon” as Variety puts it – will bring audiences back to the start, chronicling the Wicked Witch’s life as a young girl named Elphaba, providing audiences a clear and moving insight on what it means to be a social pariah, with her physical peculiarities and unmatched outspokenness and fierceness making her constantly misunderstood and the subject of ridicule.

“It is a great feeling when you can leave the theatre, and want to buy a ticket to the next performance. “Wicked” is truly that kind of show, and is something that you do not want to miss while you have the chance to see it.” – Kevin Brackett of Review STL
“Anyone who is about to see Wicked for the first time will have the assurance of knowing that they’re seeing an A-team production; those who are returning to see the show again need not worry about feeling shortchanged.” – Dennis Brown of Riverfront Times
