William Shatner Takes One-Man Show to Broadway

William Shatner is taking his one-man show to Broadway. It is rumored the show will have a limited run on Broadway this spring before going on a possible national tour. The actor began his career on the stage and has the desire to return.

William Shatner is best known for the role of Captain Kirk on the television show “Star Trek.” He also played the role in several films based on the popular sci-fi series. He has starred in the police drama “T.J. Hooker.” More recently he had turns on “The Practice” and “Boston Legal.”

Shatner made his Broadway debut in Tamburlaine the Great nearly 56 years ago. He has also been known to do spoken word and music as well. On Lopez Tonight he covered Cee Lo Green’s unedited version of “Forget You.” In 2011 he released an album called “Seeking Major Tom” where covered Black Sabbath’s “Iron Man.”

It is too early to know what Shatner’s show will consist of but one can rest assure it will not be boring. It could include bits from his past, spoken word, songs, comedy or some combination of it all. Not bad for someone over 80.
