The New Year opens in Indianapolis with the most magical and most unforgettable adventure of all! Wizard of Oz, Andrew Lloyd Webber’s stunning new production of a celebrated theater classic, is part of Broadway in Indianapolis’ blockbuster 2015-2016 season. Opening on January 12, 2016, Wizard of Oz takes over the Clowes Memorial Hall Stage until January 17, 2016.
Dorothy and her cute little dog Toto are passing by Indianapolis on their way to Emerald City! An enchanting adaptation of a well-loved all-time classic, Wizard of Oz is totally reconceived for the theater stage and developed from the popular screenplay of the original MGM film. With all the legendary songs from the Academy Award winning movie score and all the movie’s iconic moments, Wizard of Oz also features new surprising twists and brand new songs by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice. So click your heels and join Dorothy and her friends as they journey through Oz to see the Wizard.
Watch out for the Wicked Witch of the West and her ferocious winged monkeys as Wizard of Oz takes center stage at the Clowes Memorial Hall at 7:30 PM on January 12 to 14 (Tuesday to Thursday), at 8 PM on January 15 (Friday), at 2 PM and 8 PM on January 16 (Saturday), and at 1 PM and 6:30 PM on January 17 (Sunday). With one 15-minute intermission, the performances of Wizard of Oz are 150 minutes long.
