Annie Tempe | ASU Gammage

Annie Tempe | ASU Gammage

Leapin’ lizards! Cute little orphans are hitting the road to Tempe this spring. Annie, the best loved musical in the world, joins the blockbuster 2015-2016 series of Desert Schools Broadway Across America Arizona. Opening on May 4, 2016, Annie has a limited seven-performance engagement at the ASU Gammage until May 8, 2016.

Back in its time honored form, Annie gives life anew to the unforgettable tale of an adorable little orphan with cute curls and freckles. From her hard knock life at the orphanage, Annie makes her way through the streets of New York City and through life to find the home she has been longing for. An all-new and wonderful incarnation of its beloved iconic original, Annie is directed by the musical’s original director and lyricist Martin Charnin. With choreography by Liza Gennaro, Annie features book and musical score Tony winners Martin Charnin, Thomas Meehan, and Charles Strouse.

Don’t miss Annie as it takes center stage at the ASU Gammage on May 4 to 6 (Wednesday to Friday) at 7:30 PM, on May 7 (Saturday) at 2 PM and 7:30 PM, and on May 8 (Sunday) at 1 PM and 6:30 PM. With an intermission, the run time of Annie is 2 hours and 30 minutes.
