Anything Goes Tampa | Straz Center

The Straz Center for the Performing Arts’ Carol Morsani Hall in Tampa is playing Anything Goes, the 2011 Tony Awards’ Best Musical Revival, on March 12 to 17, 2013.

Everything is topsy-turvy aboard the S.S. American, an ocean liner bound to London, with its curious mix of passengers whose lives are intertwined, one way or another. There’s Billy Crocker, who boarded the ship using a wanted criminal’s passport and had to assume several disguises; Hope Harcourt, betrothed to Lord Oakleigh and Billy’s reason for his unplanned boarding of the ship; Reno Sweeny, a bar hostess who professed attraction to Billy and who later fell in love with Lord Oakleigh; and Lord Evelyn Oakleigh, Hope’s fiancé who got attracted to Reno. Aboard the S.S. American, anything goes!

The Anything Goes shows at the Carol Morsani Hall are at 7:30 PM on March 12 to 14, 2013 and at 8 PM on March 15, 2013. There are also performances at 2 PM and 8 PM on March 9, 2013 and at 1 PM and 6:30 PM on March 17, 2013. The performance running time is 1 hours and 50 minutes with 1 intermission.
