Beautiful – The Carole King Musical Atlanta | Fox Theatre

Beautiful – The Carole King Musical recreates the life and career of “the voice of a generation” and her captivating story of success, perseverance and talent.

Beautiful – The Carole King Musical is a Tony Award-winning musical about the life and career of pop music legend Carole King, and has been one of Broadway’s top grossing shows ever since it first appeared on stage in January 2014. Before rising to become a chart-topping solo artist and one of the 20th Century’s bestselling singer-songwriters, Carole Klein was a young Brooklyn native who dreamed of writing pop songs. When she meets her future husband, songwriter Gerry Goffin, they start writing hit songs for artists like: The Monkees, The Shirelles, Little Eva, The Drifters and Aretha Franklin. She later discovers that all is not what it seems with her fairy-tale life and that “it’s only when we fall, that we learn to fly”.

Direction for Beautiful – The Carole King Musical is led by Marc Bruni while the book is developed by Tony Award nominee screenwriter Douglas McGrath. The score features King’s most memorable hits such as: You Make Me Feel Like A Natural Woman, Will You Love Me Tomorrow, Take Good Care Of My Baby, You’ve Got A Friend, It Might As Well Rain Until September, Up On The Roof and Beautiful.

Carole King has been inducted into the Songwriters Hall Of Fame and the Rock ‘n Roll Hall Of Fame, and has held the record for most weeks as Billboard’s Number 1 album by a female artist for over 20 years.

Beautiful – The Carole King Musical comes to the Fox Theatre in Atlanta, GA next Broadway season, starting on May 24 until May 29, 2016.
