Bridges of Madison County Charlotte | Knight Theater

A beautifully poignant tale of love blooms in Charlotte this spring! Bridges of Madison County, the Tony Award winning musical adapted from Robert James Waller’s popular novel, joins the PNC Broadway Lights’ blockbuster 2015-2016 season. Opening on May 3, 2016, Bridges of Madison County takes center stage at the Knight Theater of the Levine Center for the Arts for one week only until May 8, 2016.

An acclaimed musical from the Great White Way, Bridges of Madison County is the unforgettably heart wrenching tale of two people who must choose between responsibility and desire. Robert, a photographer for the National Geographic, crosses path with Francesca, a simple housewife stuck in their Iowa farm. Their chance encounter unexpectedly changes their lives profoundly and offers both of them a second chance at happiness and so much more. With Bartlett Sher’s brilliant direction, Bridges of Madison County features Marsha Norman’s wonderful book and Jason Robert Brown’s soulful music.
