The sensational Dreamgirls is coming to the Christopher Newport University’s Ferguson Center for the Arts for a limited two-day run on May 17 and 18, 2013.

This new production of the award-winning musical is a tale of big dreams, fame, and the cost of stardom in the highly competitive recording industry. Revisit the 1960s when three friends – Effie, Lorell, and Deena – dreamed big and are on their way to making their wildest dreams really come true. Discovered in a local talent show, they first become the Dreamettes when they started to climb their way to the top. This story about dreaming, success, and friendship features unforgettable hits like Listen, And I Am Telling You I Am Not Going, and, of course, One Night Only.

Catch the dazzling Dreamgirls shows at the Ferguson Center every night at 8 PM on May 17 and 18, 2013 and the only matinee presentation at 2 PM on May 8.
