The elves are ushering in the Christmas season in Atlanta this year! Elf, the smash hit musical based on the popular 2003 Elf movie that has become a modern-day Christmas classic, is the yuletide season offering of the 2015-2016 Fifth Third Bank Broadway in Atlanta. Opening on December 2, 2015, Elf has a limited engagement at the Fox Theatre until December 6, 2015.
Elf retells the hilarious yet heart warming story of Buddy, an orphan boy who mistakenly believed he was an elf. Having been brought to the North Pole after accidentally crawling into Santa’s sack of gifts, Buddy grew up in Santa’s workshop with the elves. However, as he grows old, his size and mediocre toy-making abilities made him face the truth that he is human. As he seeks his father and tries to discover his identity, he finds love and helps New York remember the real meaning of Christmas along the way. Elf is sure to delight its Atlanta audience with spectacular visual magic, carol-tinged songs, fantastic dance numbers, and good old humor. Elf features book by Thomas Meehan and Bob Martin, choreography by Conner Gallagher, and direction by Sam Scalamoni.
Join the fun as Elf plays the Fox Theatre at 7:30 PM on December 2 to 3 (Wednesday to Thursday), at 8 PM on December 4 (Friday), at 2 PM and 8 PM on December 5 (Saturday) and at 1 PM and 6:30 PM on December 6 (Sunday). With one intermission, Elf runs for 135 minutes.
