After celebrating its 30th anniversary on the Broadway stage, Flashdance – The Musical is now on the road and will be dancing its way into Detroit this spring! Opening on March 10, 2015, Flashdance will be at the Fisher Theatre until March 22 as a part of the 2014-2015 Broadway in Detroit Series.
An iconic pop culture phenomenon, Flashdance – The Musical is the hit stage adaptation of Jennifer Beals’ sensational 80s film bearing the same name. Directed and choreographed by Sergio Trujillo (Memphis, Jersey Boys), Flashdance retells the inspiring tale of a female welder who dreams of becoming a ballerina and features a book by Tom Hedley and score by Robert Cary and Robbie Roth.
Flashdance – The Musical explodes on the Fisher Theatre stage on weekday evenings at 7:30 PM (Tuesdays through Fridays) and on weekends at 2 PM and 8 PM on Saturdays and at 1 PM and 6:30 PM on Sundays. Each Dirty Dancing performance runs for 2 hours and 30 minutes.
