Pippin San Francisco | Golden Gate Theatre

Pippin San Francisco | Golden Gate Theatre

The Players are coming to San Francisco, and they’ve got magic to do at the historic Golden Gate Theatre in the fall of 2014. The classic Stephen Schwartz musical, Pippin, is given new life under a big top tent where dancers, acrobats, and singers seamlessly tell the tale of a young Pippin’s journey to be extraordinary.

Pippin yearns to find his very own “corner of the sky.” Will he fight in great battles like his father? Is he a lover? A king? Will he dare to take the leap to leave his mark in a blaze of glory? Director Diane Paulus revives yet another Broadway musical gem for theatre audiences to fall in love with all over again.

Join the cast of Pippin at San Francisco’s Golden Gate Theatre from September 23 through October 19, 2014. The show is not recommended for children under the age of 8 due to some mature subject matter, but the timeless score and Fosse-inspired choreography blended with harlequin patterns and circus stunts is sure to delight theatre fans for a whole new generation.
