Sister Act Philadelphia | Academy of Music

Sister Act Philadelphia | Academy of Music

‘Sister Act’ comes to Philadelphia for a week-long run at the Academy of Music at the Kimmel Center from April 2 to 7, 2013.

Celebrate spring with one of the funniest and most glorious musical adaptations to worship the Great White Way stage. When Deloris Van Cartier witnesses a crime and is persistently pursued by the suspects to silence her, the cops take her into custody and send her away into a convent, in an attempt to lose her pursuers. What started as a mere ruse to evade the bad guys flourished into a life-changing experience both for her and her fellow sisters, her newly found friends. Her stay at the convent became more than just an act, she became the force that transformed the image of holy and pious worshiping – joyful, inspired, charitable and spirited. The performance running time is 2 hours 55 minutes with 1 intermission.
