True beauty goes deeper than appearances. This is the lesson Violet must learn in the image-obsessed 1960’s when racial discrimination, and social status segments all people in society. Violet is the new musical opening at the American Airlines Theatre in April 2014.
Violet hops on a Greyhound to Oklahoma where she is convinced that a televangelist will work a miracle through God and heal her of a scar that she bears across her face from a childhood accident. On her journey, she learns much more about herself, friendship, faith, and the true meaning of what it means to be healed.
Get on the bus with Violet at the American Airlines Theatre for this limited run starring Sutton Foster. Previews on Broadway begin on March 28, 2014. Violet will run from April 20 through August 10, 2014.
