Waitress Orlando | Dr Phillips Performing Arts Center

Romance is at its peak, with betrayal, sacrifice, love and danger on full display when the Broadway musical Waitress hits the Dr. Phillips Performing Arts Centre in Orlando from March 20 to March 25 2018.

Directed by Tony Award winning director, Diane Paulus, and based on the 2007 classic indie flick, it tells the story of Jenna Hunterson, a waitress in a small-town diner, famous for her luscious pies, who desires to leave her husband, Earl. Jenna, however, becomes pregnant, begins an affair with her pediatrician, Dr Jim Pomatter and identifies an upcoming pie contest as her golden opportunity to get the separation she desires.

Enjoy the fantastic display of charm, romance and betrayal delivered with beautiful choreography by Suttirat Anne Larlarb and entertaining costumes by Lorin Latarro.

With an awesome and soulful score, written by pop starlet Sara Bareilles featuring tunes like “She Used To Be Mine”, “Everything Changes”, “Never Ever Getting Rid Of Me”, Waitress guarantees an fun-filled experience which led Frank Rizzo of Variety to label it “fluid and easy-going”.
