Wizard of Oz Cleveland | State Theatre

Wizard of Oz Cleveland | State Theatre

A magical start of the holiday season is in store for Cleveland! Wizard of Oz, the spectacular new production by Andrew Lloyd Webber of one of the world’s most loved theater classics, is part of Playhouse Square’s exciting Star Performance Series. Opening on December 1, 2015, Wizard of Oz has a very limited eight-performance engagement at the State Theatre until December 6, 2015.

A stunning theatrical adaptation that has been wholly reconceived for theater stage, Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Wizard of Oz was developed from the screenplay of the celebrated and Academy Award winning MGM film. Wizard of Oz breathes life anew to L. Frank Baum’s beloved tale about a girl swept by a great tornado to the wonderfully beautiful land of Oz. With all our favorite moments and iconic characters, Wizard of Oz also features its acclaimed score and some exciting surprises for its Cleveland audience.

Slip on your ruby slippers and click your heels as Wizard of Oz takes over the State Theatre stage on December 1 to 4 (Tuesday to Friday) at 7:30 PM, on December 5 (Saturday) at 1:30 PM and 7:30 PM, and on December 6 (Sunday) at 11 AM and 4:30 PM. With one intermission, the playing time of Wizard of Oz is 150 minutes.
