March is the perfect time of the year to visit the beautiful and wonderful Land of Oz! The Wizard of Oz, the spectacular new production by Andrew Lloyd Webber of a beloved Broadway classic, will be in Houston for the Theatre Under The Stars’ blockbuster 2013-14 season. Opening on March 4, 2014, The Wizard of Oz has a two-week engagement at Hobby Center for Performing Arts’ Sarofim Hall until March 16, 2014.

Adapted and developed from the brilliant screenplay of the widely-adored and acclaimed 1939 MGM film with the same name, The Wizard of Oz will take its Houston audience on a magical adventure all throughout Oz. Featuring the iconic moments, adorable characters, and legendary songs from the film, this spellbinding show also has a few surprises in store for you.

The Wizard of Oz plays at the Sarofim Hall on evenings at 7:30 PM on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays and at 8 PM on Fridays and Saturdays. There are also 2 PM matinee performances on weekends (Saturdays and Sundays). On March 16 (Sunday), the 2 PM presentation is an Audio Described Performance while the 7 PM presentation is a Captioned Performance.
