Beautiful – The Carole King Musical tells the story of the young Carole Klein – “a Brooklyn girl with passion and chutzpah”.

Coming to Durham, NC this Broadway season, the hit musical follows the life path of the legendary singer-songwriter now Carole King, who earns her way to success and stardom before she even reaches her 20’s. But once her career flourishes and she meets the husband of her dreams – Gerry Goffin, her personal life begins to crack. The problems that she now has to face, force her to reveal her true spirit and voice.

Beautiful – The Carole King Musical is directed by Marc Bruni, with a book by Tony Award nominee Douglas McGrath who was also nominated for an Academy Award during his collaboration with Woody Allen for Bullets Over Broadway. Music and lyrics are provided by the starring duo Carole King/Gerry Goffin, along with fellow writers and best friends Cynthia Weil and Barry Mann. Josh Prince handles the choreography and Jason Howland manages the musical supervision.
