FLASHDANCE THE MUSICAL, the thrilling dance musical inspired by Paramount Picture’s sensational 1983 movie, has its 8-performance engagement at the Academy of Music on November 19 to 24, 2013.
Thirty years after the release of the Flashdance movie that became a sensational pop culture phenomenon, the story of 18-year old dreamer Alex Owens comes to new life on the stage! Aspiring to qualify and be accepted to a prominent dance school, the lovely Alex works as an exotic bar dancer during the night and a welder during the day as she waits for her chance. When a budding romance complicates her aspiration, she discovers the power of true love to fuel her pursuit of her big dreams.
Catch the electrifying FLASHDANCE THE MUSICAL shows at the Academy of Music on November 19 to 21 (Tuesday to Thursday) at 7:30 PM, on November 22 (Friday) at 8 PM, on November 23 (Saturday) at 2 PM and 8 PM, and on November 24 (Sunday) at 1 PM and 6:30 PM.
