For more than 25 years, Boublil & Schonberg’s ‘Les Miserables’ has touched and inspired millions of musical fans with its emotional story, timeless tunes, significant set designs, and colorful characters that remind us that survival and optimism are two of the human spirit’s finest attributes, attributes that help us get through the unpredictability of life.

This year, in celebration of this theatrical masterpiece’s 25th year anniversary since its world premiere, acclaimed producer Cameron Mackintosh brings back ‘Les Mis’, complete with its poignant scores and tunes, the original characters, plus a re-imagined set design largely inspired by the artworks of the legendary Victor Hugo, who penned the novel from which this musical is based. This revamped version of the Broadway classic is hailed by The New York Times as “an unquestionably spectacular production from start to finish”, with NY1-TV going further by saying, “this new production actually exceeds the original. The storytelling is clearer, the perspective grittier and the motivations more honest. Musical theatre fans can rejoice: ‘Les Miz’ is born again.”

Catch ‘Les Miserables’ when it comes up for its week-long Cheese State stop this fall, via the Thrivent Financial Hall housed at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center, from November 15 to 20, 2011. Evening performances are scheduled at 7:30 PM from Tuesday to Saturday, and at 6:30 PM on Sunday. Matinee performances are at 2 PM on Saturday and at 1 PM on Sunday. The performance running time is 2 hours 50 minutes with 1 intermission.
