The 25th year production of the critically acclaimed and legendary ‘Les Miserables’ is hitting Chicago this fall with a three-week run at the Cadillac Palace Theatre from November 14 to December 2, 2012.
Highly regarded producer Cameron Mackintosh helps breathe a new life into this Boublil & Schonberg classic. Inspired by the famous art works of Victor Hugo, the new ‘Les Mis’ boasts a more imaginative and captivating set design, tighter and grittier storytelling, and characters which have become more relatable and more transparent and whose objectives are more resonating than ever before. Indeed, it is a “dynamically re-imagined hit” (The Star-Ledger) fit for this generation and “exceeds the original” (NY1-TV), but if there’s one thing that hasn’t changed in this production, it is the amount of heart, soul and motivation invested in every song and score which highlights the musical’s every twist and turn till it reaches its climactic, epic end. The performance running time is 2 hours 50 minutes with 1 intermission.
