The Cameron Mackintosh produced revival of ‘Les Miserables’, which comes at no better time as the show celebrates its 25th year in musical theatre, arrives in Indianapolis this spring, from April 10 to 15, 2012 at the Clowes Memorial Hall along Sunset Avenue.
This special re-launch features a modern re-imagining of the timeless classic as it stays true to its original story as penned by Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schonberg, about the plights of the hopeful and deprived during the historic French Revolution, but is presented onstage with better pacing and in a grittier, more powerful and more remarkable fashion with updated production numbers and Victor Hugo’s artworks practically splattered all over the musical’s scenery. This is not a scene-for-scene and number-for-number repeat of past ‘Les Mis’ productions, but a revitalized, more vibrant, more poignant, more captivating, more inspiring and both a more timely and timeless version, a cut among the rest.
Show times for ‘Les Miserables’ are at 7:30 PM on April 10, 11 and 12, 8 PM on April 13 and 14, and 6:30 PM on April 15. Matinee performances are at 2 PM on April 14 and 1 PM on April 15. The performance running time is 2 hours 50 minutes with 1 intermission.
