The phenomenal hit production of Les Miserables from Cameron Mackintosh will be in Sarasota on March 5 to 10, 2013 at the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall.

This 25th anniversary production of Les Miserables, based on Victor Hugo’s classic novel, is still breaking box office records in many North American cities. It re-imagines the scenery, as inspired by Victor Hugo’s paintings, to bring the audience through the epic story Jean Valjean amidst the destruction and passion in 19th century France. Les Miserables has been winning the hearts of millions of its audience since it debuted in Broadway 25 years ago, making it the longest-running Broadway musical in history.

Catch the shows of the record-breaking Les Miserables production in Sarasota. The nightly presentations are scheduled at 8 PM on March 5, 8, and 9 and at 7 PM on March 10. The special matinee shows are at 2 PM on March 9 (Saturday) and at 1:30 PM on March 10 (Sunday). The performance running time is 2 hours 50 minutes with 1 intermission.
