Motown the Musical San Francisco | Orpheum Theatre

Motown The Musical is the journey of one man who shaped the music that everybody listened to. The high-energy Broadway extravaganza will play at the Orpheum Theatre in San Francisco in August.

The life and love of Berry Gordy Jr. is told through the jukebox musical, Motown. From his beginnings as an upstart music producer with a vision, until he became one of the biggest names in the music industry, Motown celebrates the man behind the music. Smokey Robinson, Marvin Gaye, Dianna Ross and the Supremes, The Jackson Five — These are just some of the familiar names that were originally discovered by Gordy, and whose music is features in the critically acclaimed jukebox musical.

Move to the beat of Motown The Musical at the Orpheum Theatre. The hit musical comes to San Francisco from August 15 through September 28, 2014. Celebrate the music that tore down barriers and transformed America in Motown. The show runs for 2 hours and 45 minutes and includes a 15 minute intermission.
