Newsies Indianapolis | Clowes Memorial Hall

Newsies Indianapolis | Clowes Memorial Hall

The fearless newspaper delivery boys of New York City are hitting the road to Indianapolis. Newsies, the smash hit and Tony Award winning musical based on the high-kicking film of the same name, joins Broadway in Indianapolis’ exciting 2015-2016 season. Opening on March 15, 2016, Newsies conquers the Clowes Memorial Hall stage for eight performances only until March 20, 2016.

A high energy and breathtaking explosion of energetic song and dance, Newsies is the story of Jack and his fellow newspaper delivery boys who mustered the courage to fight for what is right. Orphaned and homeless, they sell newspapers to earn a living and dream of a better future. When the city’s publishing giants imposed a new policy that will greatly cut back on the newsboys’ already meager earnings, Jack and his friends defiantly go on strike. With heart-pounding dance numbers and high-spirited songs, Newsies won the Tony Awards for Best Choreography and Best Score in 2012.

Join the newsboys’ strike as Newsies takes center stage at the Clowes Memorial Hall on March 15 to 18 (Tuesday to Thursday) at 7:30 PM, on March 18 (Friday) at 8 PM, on March 19 (Saturday) at 2 PM and 8 PM and on March 20 (Sunday) at 1 PM and 6:30 PM. With one 15-minute intermission, the performances of Newsies are 2 hours and 20 minutes long.
