Newsies Seattle | Paramount Theatre

The newsboys of New York are dancing their way to Seattle! Newsies, the Tony winning musical that won for Best Choreography and Best Score in 2012, joins the 2015/2016 Season of Keybank Broadway at The Paramount. Opening on April 26, 2016, Newsies will fill The Paramount Theatre with its high-energy song and dance numbers until May 1, 2016.

Inspired by the two-week Newsboy Strike in New York City in 1899, Newsies is the story of Jack Kelly and his rag-tag band of teenage newspaper boys who dared to stand up against the powerful publishing titans in the city. From merely delivering the papers, they hogged the headlines when they decided to fight for what they deemed was right when New York’s newspaper publishers raised the distribution prices at the expense of the newsboys. A crowd-pleasing and acclaimed musical from Disney, Newsies is filled with exciting numbers that its Seattle audience wouldn’t want to miss. With book by Harvey Fierstein, Newsies also features the award-winning score from Alan Menken and Jack Feldman.

Experience the electrifying performances of Newsies as it runs at The Paramount Theatre. The weeknight performances are at 7:30 PM from Tuesday through Thursday and at 8 PM on Friday. The weekend shows are at 2 PM and 8 PM on Saturday and at 1 PM and 6:30 PM on Sunday. The performance time of Newsies is 2 hours and 20 minutes with one 15-minute intermission.
