Carry the Banner with the Newsies, Disney’s energetic, dance-filled musical adapted of the 1992 feature film. Newsies will play at The Kentucky Center in Louisville this November.
Based on true events of the 1899 Newsboys Strike in New York City, Newsies is about taking a stand for the little guy. Tired of being taken advantage of by the owners of the very papers they distribute and sell, the newspaper boys of New York and Brooklyn form a union and strike to demand fair treatment and recognition.
Sing and dance along with the Newsies at The Louisville Kentucky Center from November 18 through 23, 2015. Performances start at 7:30pm on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday; 8:00pm on Friday and Saturday; and 6:30pm on Sunday. Afternoon shows begin at 2:00pm on Saturday, and 1:00pm on Sunday. The family-friendly show runs for 2 hours and 20 minutes with a 15 minute intermission.
