We Will Rock You Des Moines | Civic Center

Rock the house with We Will Rock You, the hit West End production by legendary rock band Queen and Ben Elton. This groundbreaking musical featuring classic tracks by Queen will play at the Des Moines Performing Arts Civic Center in June.

Sometime in the future, the world has become a dystopia called Planet Mall ruled by a Killer Queen who despises individuality and wants the whole world to be controlled via the media and her form of Radio Gaga. But a young Galileo wants to break free from it all and teams up with a rebellious red head named Scaramouche and a team of others from the resistance to find out more about a time from long ago when kids formed their own bands, wrote their own music, and played their own instruments in an age called The Rhapsody.

Join the resistance against the Killer Queen as they try to find the place of living rock at the Civic Hall of the Des Moines Performing Arts Center. Performances will run from June 10 through 15, 2014 at 7:30pm every night except

Sunday when the curtain will rise at 6:30pm. Afternoon shows will start at 2:00pm on Saturday, and at 1:00pm on Sunday.
