War Horse Seattle | Paramount Theatre

War Horse Seattle | Paramount Theatre

‘War Horse’ conquers Seattle in February 2013 as it is slated to play the Paramount Theatre from the 13th to the 24th. This Tony Award winning play will touch audiences’ hearts with its inspiring and moving tale of dedication, courage and loyalty and also have them marvel in awe with the production’s gigantic but lifelike horse puppets, built by the Handspring Puppet Company of South Africa for the sole purpose of transporting audiences from their seats to the battlefield – during and after the war, rousing strong emotions and sensibilities from the theatergoers.

Join Albert in his quest to retrieve his beloved horse Joey after he was sold to the cavalry at the dawn of World War I in England. After experiencing the carnage between countries from the front lines, Joey ends up in a deserted land while Albert musters the courage to embark on a dangerous and self-imposed charge to be reunited with him. Their unwavering loyalty and unconditional dedication to each other clearly transcends the bounds of speech, physical form and even the perils of war, a message that never ceases to resonate even in today’s modern times. The performance running time is 2 hours and 40 minutes with 1 intermission.
